The January lineup includes celebrations of:

  • Jan 5: Dana Petersen Moore, former City Liquor Board Commissioner and current Deputy City Solicitor
  • Jan 12: Doreen Bolger, arts supporter and former director, Baltimore Museum of Art
  • Jan 19: Colin Campbell, reporter, Baltimore Sun
  • Jan 26: Ann Costlow, founder & owner Sofi's Crepes

Every Tuesday Night at 7:30 pm, come see The Conservatory & Friends, our showcase for rising improv troupes. Just $5 for two Conservatory teams and a special guest troupe.

Every Thursday night at 7:30 pm, play along in Impropourri, BIG's super-fun bring-your-own-troupe spectacular. Show up with your own troupe, or sketch team or team up with others on the spot! Free.

WHEN: WEDNESDAY, JAN 10, @ 7:30; Sign-up starts at 7:15, the jam will begin at 7:30

XJAM is BIG's new improv jam for women, transgender, non-binary, and gender nonconforming performers.

If you're an improv newbie or a seasoned performer, come on out and play! You don’t need to sign up ahead of time, and you won’t know who you’re playing with until you get on stage. We start with a big group warm up. Then, hosts will call out for a number of people and will give them a unique format, input or challenge.
They'll have 5 or 10 minutes to play, depending on the number of people to attend, and then we’ll do it again with a different group! If you have a format you’d like to try, you will take the reins and host that set. We’ll end with a big montage for anyone who didn’t get a chance to play.
