Free Annual Community Kwanzaa Celebration
WHEN: Thursday, December 28th, 6-9pm
WHERE: Eubie Blake Cultural Center at 847 N. Howard Street, Baltimore MD
Free street parking is available after 6pm. There is a paid garage across the street at 821 Eutaw Street.
TICKETS: This event is FREE and open to to the public
Join us as we celebrate Kwanzaa at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center! We will be discussing the principle Ujimaa, or Collective Work and Responsibility. (Above: Kwanzaa Celebration 2016)
There will be a thriving African marketplace, food for sale by Next Phaze Catering, a Kwanzaa ceremony with libation, a poetry reading by Rubys Artist Award Grantee celeste doaks, and live performances from Keur Khaleyi African Dance Company, DJ Hoeteps, Next Generation of Wombworks Production, and the Eubie Blake Cabaret Company. The evening will be hosted by MC Tracie Jiggetts.
RSVP: Be sure to bring your family and friends! Ticket sales will close by noon on December 24th. After this date, we will no longer take reservations online. Tickets WILL sell out. Once they do, you can be put on the waitlist for the event.
