This festival honors and awards the best filmmakers in the Greater Baltimore region.The short films that were selected push the envelope and inspire audiences to view film and video through a uniquely Baltimore lens. Submissions were judged on technical excellence, originality, and Baltimore flavor, and include documentary, drama, animation, experimental, horror, and mockumentary films.​ Tix & Info

Open Circle Read & Response

Featuring: Danielle Evans, Dan Fesperman, and Slangston Hughes w/ live musical responses by Amadou Kouyate and artistic responses by Christopher Kojzar.

Prominent writers will share selections of their work in this unique interdisciplinary event. The night will be interspersed with live musical and artistic responses. Info


Come As You Are Yoga w/ Ana Temple Rodney

Ana Temple Rodney leads free yoga sessions in the gallery. Ana, a spoken word poet, yoga instructor, and Reiki master, found solace and healing in her contribution to the Come As You Are exhibition following a traumatic birth and pregnancy. Info

Anne Draddy, co-author of Druid Hill Park: The Heart of Historic Baltimore, and Tom Orth from Friends of Druid Hill Park, lead a leisurely bike ride through Druid Hill Park. Jazz: Jonathan Kreisberg Quartet

WHEN: SUN OCT 1 | 7:30PM

Guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg is one of the most compelling young musicians in jazz. His last performance at Creative Alliance was with B3 hero Dr. Lonnie Smith. Tonight, he leads his own group with Nitai Hershkovits on piano, Matt Clohesy on bass, and Colin Stranahan on drums. Together, they combine timeless jazz melodies with forward thinking lines and textures. Tix & Info


Burlesque: Night of Noire with Perle Noire

Arooj Aftab w/ Zomes

Arooj Aftab, a young neo-Sufi singer originally from Pakistan, combines the Sufi tradition by incorporating an open-minded approach to sonic matter in a style reminiscent of improvisational jazz. Arooj and her band will be collaborating with Zomes, a Baltimore electronic experimental music duo. Pakistani fare is included with your ticket! Tix & Info

COME AS YOU ARE: The Spectrum of Vulnerability

Trauma, grief, loss, depression, behavioral health, and healing are all meaningful parts of the full spectrum of human experience. The eight artists in the exhibition offer their individual artwork as evidence of their personal struggles and the power of resiliency. Info
