Join Interfaith Leaders on September 26

WHERE: Baltimore Centerstage, 700 North Calvert Street, Baltimore

Baltimore Center Stage is hosting an Interfaith Discussion Panel Tuesday, September 26. Local civic and spiritual leaders from a variety of faiths will lead a discussion on the topics raised in The Christians.

The Christians, is a new play about the responsibility of leadership, the cost of challenging one’s beliefs, and what happens when people of common faith discover that they might not believe the same thing.

We are thrilled to welcome this cross section of local leaders to discuss these compelling topics after this performance of The Christians.*

  • Steven Harvey, Buddhist Chapter Leader of Soka Gakkai International
  • Tariq Najee-ullah, Imam and Interfaith Consultant
  • Delegate Antonio Hayes, Representative of 40th legislative district of MD House of Delegates
  • Rabbi Elissa Sachs-Kohen, Rabbi at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation
  • Father Jim Casiotti, Pastor of St. Ignatius Church

Learn more about The Christians and buy your ticket for the Tuesday, September 26 performance today!

*The conversation will begin around 9:45 pm directly following the show. (You are not required to attend this performance to participate in the post-show discussion.)

Does absolute tolerance require tolerance of the intolerant? Can a divided head find a way to lead? When the stakes are eternity, what happens if they are wrong? These are the questions that arise in a present-day American megachurch in The Christians, a new play exploring what happens when we lose faith in our leaders and our institutions. Stunning in its theatricality, this production will feature choirs from area churches.
