An intimate night of soulful singing, moving acoustic guitar, blues roots, and lively storytelling from two unique singer/songwriters. Karter honed his craft with the late great Teddy Pendergass. Samuel is a young acoustic blues musician who plays with fire. Together, they promise a powerful evening.

Vieux Farka Toure + Soul Cannon

We welcome back Malian guitar master Vieux Farka TourĂ© for a night of West African grooves – and we're making sure there is space for dancing! The night also includes DJs Chris Brooks and Balagan who spin deep African dance cuts in our Marquee Lounge. The Last Good Tooth and B'more’s own hip hop funk conjurers Soul Cannon open. Baltimore Banjo Masters

The banjo takes center stage at the Creative Alliance. Expect an evening of top-notch bluegrass, old-time, folk, and traditional African kora music featuring three of the Baltimore's most renowned acts: The Ken & Brad Kolodner Quartet, Mike Munford, and Amadou Kouyate. Tix & Info

Born in the ‘70s golden age of reggae, Culture’s legendary “Two Sevens Clash” was Reggae Album of the Year in 1977 and is acknowledged today by Rolling Stone Magazine as #25 of the 50 all time coolest records (the only reggae album to make the list). Tonight, they celebrate the 40th anniversary of that recording. Tix & Info

The Marquee Ball Silent Art Auction Exhibition

The Annual Marquee Ball Silent Auction is on view for just one week – when everything goes to the highest bidder during the Marquee Ball on Saturday, April 29th. This year all artworks are valued under $500, making this event the perfect place to collect work from both emerging and renowned artists! Info

Creative Alliance galleries and box office are open to the public Tue-Sat, 11am-7pm. Entry to our galleries is FREE, though donations are welcome!
