Race Recounted is a highly interactive exhibition where visitors can explore the personal stories and complexities of individual identity as well as view new collaborative work by (Iona) Rozeal (Brown), Francisco Delgado, and Edgar Reyes. The exhibition is a culmination of Juan Ortiz's research and community work supported by the Robert W.Deutsch Foundation. The special opening night celebration, held in the main gallery and theater, features The Cornell West Theory, a hip-hop group inspired by social justice struggles, and Noelle Ghoussaini, who is a Lebanese-American actress who directs neighborhood residents and committee members share their own stories of identity.

 


Kerplunk Outside!

Similar to a short film, or the increasingly popular digital shorts, SHORTS creates a concert of dance “hors d’oeuvres” that are eclectic, entertaining, comical, and sometimes experimental in nature accompanied by a variety of musical sources.
