Art After Hours

New Arrivals: Gifts of Art for a New Century

Discover surprising connections between more than 200 artworks—many on view for the first time. Featuring works from nearly every area of the collection, Gifts of Art for a New Century is the BMA's first major exhibition since starting its multi-phase renovation completed in fall 2015. .

Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon: African-American Artists at the BMA

WHEN: Saturday, February 13
ADMISSION: Free.

In honor of African-American History Month, create, update, and improve Wikipedia entries pertaining to the lives and works of African-American artists in the BMA collection. No specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience required.

Library resources, WiFi, and light refreshments provided. Please bring your laptop and power cord.


Make Tribe at the BMA

WHEN: February 17, April 28, June 2
ADMISSION: Members:$55; Non-Members: $60

Learn a new artisanal skill such as spoon carving, flower arranging, and soap making during expert-led workshops inspired by artworks in Imagining Home. Before the hands-on activities, enjoy after-hours access to the exhibition and in-gallery conversations.

Explore your creative side with hands-on art-making workshops in response to works on view. Family workshops have moved to the beautifully renovated studio in the Patricia and Mark Joseph Education Center, located on the first floor of the Museum.
