Events at Peabody

Peabody Dance students of all ages will appear in this year's spring dance performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The production has been restaged and adapted by Melissa Stafford, Constance Dinapoli, and the Peabody Dance faculty. Also on the program will be Celebrating 100 Years of Peabody Dance, a video introducing Peabody's past, present, and future, co-produced by Carol Bartlett and Anuok Erni. The performances will take place on Sunday, May 18, at 1:00 and 4:30 pm, in Peabody's Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall. Tickets are $8. For tickets, call 410-234-4626.

Other Peabody events this week, May 12-18, 2014

The free spring recital of the Preparatory's Adult & Continuing Education will be held on Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 pm, in Cohen-Davison Family Theatre. The end-of-semester ACE recital will feature adult students performing solo and chamber music repertoire.

The free Preparatory Fran G. Zarubick Honors Recital, featuring the winners of the Spring Honors Competition, will take place on Sunday, May 18 at 3:00 pm, in Leith Symington Griswold Hall. Pianists Anthony Cianchetta, Abigail Lo, Alan Mao, Shirley Shen, and Courtney Steininger, and cellist Luka Stefanovic will perform works by Bach, Chopin, Copland, Haydn, Lecuona, and Mozart.
