Madison, Andi and Destinie—who are probably, most likely, definitely little girls—battle each other in the finals of a High Glitz child beauty contest and only one victor will have her true heart's wish granted automagically by the one-and-only Wishing Crown!

A mash up of Commedia Dell’Arte, cabaret, and drag, One Glitz Wish is a hilarious evening of glamour and decadence that explodes the question of what it means to be a 'little girl.'

One Glitz Wish is the first Strand production under the leadership of Strand's Artistic Director, Elissa Goetschius.

About the Playwright
Maryland native Kristin Harrison began developing new work for the stage with Distilled Theatre, the company she founded with several key directors in Baltimore in the late 1990s. She then trained at the University of Texas at Austin in developmental dramaturgy and new play direction, culminating with an M.A. in Performance as Public Practice. Harrison has worked closely in development settings with many playwrights including Molly Rice and C. Denby Swanson. Harrison’s own plays have been produced in Baltimore by Distilled Theatre, and The Source of Uncertainty; in Austin by Fronterafest and The Vestige Group; and in Mexico City by La Universidad Autonoma de Mexico.
