RESIDENT ARTIST NEWS

Clayworks' resident artist, KYLE BAUER, is a finalist for the Janet and Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize! The seven finalists will be featured in an exhibition at The Walters Art Museum in downtown Baltimore from June 21st through August 17th. The winner of the $25,000 fellowship will be announced at the reception on July 12th at 7 PM. For more information and to read about the other finalists please visit Artscape's website.

EXPERIENCE TRANSFORMATION showcases a cross-section of the clay community's different aesthetic sensibilities. From sculptural to functional work, this exhibition spans a wide variety of ceramic arts and generations of artists. Clay as a medium embodies joy, transformation, the possibility of rebuilding, creating and being human.
