Richard II
October 24 - November 9, 2014

One of Shakespeare's most eloquent works is this poetic chronicle of the cultured King Richard II, whose arrogance contributes to his undoing and the onset of the Wars of the Roses.

Not all the water in the rough, rude sea
Can wash the balm from an anointed king.

A Christmas Carol

An original adaptation of Charles Dickens' great Christmas story of redemption, created with a Charm City twist. Scrooge, ghosts and Tiny Tim will be transported to the 19th century Baltimore Business District. Make it a family tradition!

I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year.

Uncle Vanya

Anton Chekhov's masterpiece of humor, hope, and loss. Explore the nature of 19th century comedy with us as we perform this play in repertory with Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest.

We shall find peace. We shall hear the angels, we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.

The Importance of Being Earnest
February 27 - March 22, 2015

Oscar Wilde's quintessential comedy of manners, featuring some of the funniest lines and silliest situations that have ever been written for the theater. Performed in repertory with Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya.

All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy.
No man does. That's his.

Romeo and Juliet
April 10 - May 10, 2015

Shakespeare's romantic tragedy of the unforgettable star-crossed lovers. We bring the Italian Renaissance to CSC's Baltimore stage. Fall in love again.

My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep; The more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite.

Returning in the summer to our outdoor home in Ellicott City, MD, we will perform Shakespeare's uproarious farce of mistaken identity as two sets of twins unwittingly exchange places. Come see why CSC-in-the-Ruins was named by the Baltimore Business Journal as one of the area's top tourist attractions.

We came into the world brother and brother,
And now, let's go in hand and hand, not one before the other.
