Baltimore Concert Opera wants to make sure that you have the best experience possible when you come to their performances. From the moment that you purchase your tickets to the glorious music throughout the evening to that final wave goodbye as you head back to your car, they're committed to providing you with a one-of-a-kind operatic outing. They've been making magic happen behind the scenes to prepare; but, here are a few things you may want to know before joining them this weekend.

#1 - Get Your Tickets Now

BCO presents Giuseppe Verdi’s tragic masterpiece Il Trovatore. Happy endings may be few and far between in this family drama of Count Di Luna’s search for his long-lost brother, but Verdi was at the height of his powers when he filled Il Trovatore with some of the greatest music the art form has to offer.  Don't miss out! Buy your tickets now if you haven't already.

#2 - Listen to the Pre-Performance Lecture

One-half hour before each performance, ticket holders have the opportunity to gain insight from Maestro James Harp about Verdi's Il Trovatore—a true insider perk! We will not seat patrons during the lecture, only before and after.
Knowledgeable in many areas of music, Mr. Harp has lectured extensively on opera in many venues, including the Towson Arts Festival, the Maryland Opera Society, the Biblical Archaeology Society, and the Joy of Opera Series. He is on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins School of Continuing Education.

#3 - Dine in Style at the Engineers Club
Make a date to enjoy even more of the Engineers Club by making a dinner reservation!
Prior to each Baltimore Concert Opera performance, the Engineers Club welcomes all patrons to dine with them at the club. Dining reservations must be purchased 48 hours in advance.

#4 - Get the Scoop on the BCO Valet Parking

Valet service for Il Trovatore is available to BCO patrons at the Wyndham Peabody Court (612 Cathedral St, adjacent to Mt. Vernon Square, just steps from The Engineers Club) at a special rate of $15. Bring your valet stub to the BCO front desk, and we will validate it for you. (If you should need assistance entering the club, please call our office ahead of time at 443.445.0226, and we will arrange to meet and help you inside.)

BONUS: Don't forget that there is a cash bar available at both performances and there will be hors d'oeuvres beginning at 6:45 PM before the Friday night performance.

The cast arrived yesterday and rehearsals are off to a high-spirited start! Did you see the pictures on our Facebook page? I cannot wait to share this special production with all of our insiders as well as many new friends.

Please feel free to share this insider information with anyone you think will appreciate it!
