Last fall, Orfeia performed in Sofia on Bulgarian TV and radio with Svitanya, the accomplished women's vocal ensemble from Philadelphia that performs Eastern European folk and work songs, as well as contemporary compositions. The two groups reunite tonight celebrating the end of winter. They are joined by expert Slovakian flutist Bob Rychlik who opens with an unusual performance on these rare traditional instruments. Expect breathtaking harmonies and haunting melodies!

Baltimore's acclaimed Latin jazz band goes all Tito Puente on us with a tribute to The Palladium, the acclaimed New York Latin dance palace that launched the Newyorican salsa phenomenon. Mad fun Latin dance tunes (cha chas to mambos) from artists like Tito Puente, Machito, and Pres Prado make for a night of amazing musicianship and poly-rhythmic dance fun! Rumba Club adds a fourth horn player on baritone sax to really round out a true '50's era Latin sound.
