Shakespeare’s final masterpiece, The Tempest, is a story of sorcery, revenge, and—ultimately—forgiveness. The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory presents The Tempest as its 3rd annual actor-ensemble-directed production.

Actor directed and opening after only five rehearsals, The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory's Tempest takes Shakespearean Staging conditions to the extreme. Based on the ensemble work style of Shakespeare's acting troupe, our performers arrive to an all day rehearsal having completed extensive text work and having already memorized their lines. They then have that day and four evenings to pull together the entire show. That includes all costumes, props, and music.  As if that wasn't enough pressure, audience members can rent stress ball tomatoes to hurl at any character who is behaving badly (OR actors who forget their line!)
