WHEN: Saturday, October 26th, 6:30 PM; Doors at 5:30 PM
In the opener, Charm's Mobtown Mods tackle D.C.'s reigning Home Team Champions, Scare Force One. While both teams utilize crushing defense to demoralize the competition, D.C. may have a slight advantage since they are coming into this matchup with basically the same roster that took Washington's Skate of the Union trophy in May. The Mods, however, have lost several key veterans in recent months and will be testing a new lineup during this competition. Therefore, this game may come down to the wire as seasoned teamwork squares off against youthful tenacity.
Immediately following, CCRG's Speed Regime face the D.C. DemonCats in a battle of unprecedented athleticism. Led by mascot, Beelzebubba, derby's version of hell on wheels, this squad of skaters from the nation's capital should not be taken lightly as they are as tough as their name suggests and twice as fast. Yet, the Regime looks to put a damper on the fiery team from Washington by using its famous front-of-the-line offense. And even though these two teams have never met, it is clear this high-octane showdown should not be missed.
The first bout is at 6:30 PM and the second around 8:00 PM
Patrons who are 21+ with a government or military ID can check in at the door to get $1 off all beer and wine purchases. Plus, this family friendly event will have trick or treating on site for kids 12 and under as well as a face painting contest with a grand prize of four general admission tickets to the November doubleheader.
