The art song genre contains some of classical music's greatest treasures, yet it is also in many ways the genre least understood. With a desire to present this extraordinary body of repertoire in a fresh and approachable manner, we present the "Baltimore Lieder Weekend."

This year, we turn our attention to Brahms, and welcome two superstar scholars: Susan Youens (in her second appearance) and Michael Musgrave.

In addition, we are thrilled to be joined by Baltimore Symphony Orchestra associate concertmaster Madeline Adkins for the end of our Sunday program, in which we seek to further bridge the divide between Brahms's instrumental and solo vocal works.
