Young leaders of Italy’s new wave, this dancer and dynamic seven-piece band hail from the Puglia region. They lead southwestern Italy’s pizzica taranta music and dance tradition while also disseminating a re-invented twist for a global audience. The ensemble, founded in 1975 by Daniele Durante, is now led by his son Mauro, a noted percussionist and violinist.

Baltimore Improv Group Double Show Weekend!
WHEN: Friday, June 28, 8 PM; Saturday, June 29,  8 PM
WHERE: The Strand Theater, 1823 N. Charles Street, Baltimore
ADMISSION: $10

The Baltimore Improv Group returns to the stage of the Strand Theater again for two nights of hilarious improv comedy. Four troupes take the stage each night to create fun scenes based on audience input.

Interested in Capoeira? Well come out on June 25th to learn the rudimentary movements, songs, and philosophy of Capoeira Angola. Participants will enjoy 5 weeks of classes. The uniform shirt is included in $75 course cost. (Long black pants and non-marking athletic shoes should be worn.)
