Antony & Cleopatra

Taming of the Shrew

Spring is finally here, so it’s time for you to think about summer and Shakespeare, picnics and the Ruins, power and love. Chesapeake Shakespeare Company-in-the-Ruins is offering two fantastic Shakespeare plays about love—each featuring powerful women characters.

Allow the Queen of Egypt to rule your heart for a night in Shakespeare’s immortal ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA, directed by Ralph Alan Cohen, founder of the celebrated American Shakespeare Center down in Virginia.

Then return for TAMING OF THE SHREW, with razor-tongued Kate the Shrew, in a rowdy, rambunctious production directed by CSC Founding Artistic Director, Ian Gallanar, who loves nothing better than directing comic mayhem.
