If you saw or read A Raisin in the Sun, you won’t want to miss this “prequel” that was a Broadway hit last season. Now Centerstage brings it to Baltimore:

As our 50th Anniversary Season nears its close, we are proud to announce that performances of our groundbreaking repertory The Raisin Cycle have begun this week with the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Clybourne Park, directed by Derrick Sanders. Bruce Norris' brilliant play, which has sparked debate everywhere it's been seen, has the courage to lay bare the often-difficult issues of race and class without ever losing its remarkable sense of comedy and wit. Clybourne Park and Beneatha's Place will be produced this spring in rotating repertory as The Raisin Cycle. See both shows with our special Cycle Ticket. Get any day and any seat for both productions for only $79! (Excluding Opening Nights)

Both productions in The Raisin Cycle raise tough questions and rouse passionate opinions; we hope to provide outlets for both, to enhance and activate your play-watching, and to spark meaningful civic discussion. These participatory events will be scheduled throughout the run.
