CELEBRATE SPRING WITH “AN APPLACHIAN SPRING FESTIVAL” @ BALTIMORE SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS

An all-new week of events centered on Appalachian Spring and featuring the collaborative work of BSA students across all disciplines.

Opening of BSA Student Display
Featuring a series of paintings by BSA visual artists inspired by the music for Appalachian Spring, as well as other cross-disciplinary student projects  based on research about the 1940's and the artists.

Artistic Vision Meets History
Join BSA students & faculty to discuss how historical theatre is created.

Ballet for Martha Book Talk

Appalachian Spring Premiere
BSA dancers, musicians and actors are featured in this first-ever production by a high school. Sets built to Noguchi's original specifications by BSA stage designers. An original monologue developed by BSA students and faculty will introduce the ballet and set the stage of the story.

Festival Family Day
Children's activities and scavenger hunt followed by the performance.
All participants will receive a coloring book. Copies of Ballet for Martha will be on sale.
