Every year the National Endowment for the Arts selects a book or author as part of The Big Read—a program designed to restore reading to the center of American culture.

This year the selection was The Stories and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe, and Baltimore embraced the project. CENTERSTAGE and the Enoch Pratt Fee Library have joined together to produce a month-long series of events, performances and educational outreach focused on the life and works of Poe, plus post-show discussions accompanying CENTERSTAGE's production of The Completely Fictional—Utterly True—Final Strange Tale of Edgar Allan Poe. Visit centerstage.org/poe for more information and a full calendar listing of events.
