Five Dollar Ferrari is a duo of Brad Henkel on trumpet and Dustin Carlson on guitar. They both played at the Red Room in March with percussionist David Grollman as Swirm, and if you saw that show you know the skill that they bring as improvisors. Approaching their instruments more as sound sources in a musique concréte piece than for melodic or harmonic ends, they produce a sound world that is bewildering, raucous, beautiful and transcendental.

They are part of a collective of musicians who have been releasing music under the umbrella of Prom Night Records for the last couple of years and have been consistently bringing their new sounds to Baltimore. Others who have played at the Red Room are VaVatican, Swirm and Natura Morta.

Airclamp is the Baltimore trio of Stewart Mostofsky, Gerry Mak and Andrew Bernstein. At times subtle and introspective, others confrontational and bizzare, they use synthesizer, reeds, voice and the act of performance as their medium.
