Urbnergy is a multi-stylistic trio reflected by the compositions of the group's three members. Marc Irwin's music while the most mainstream of the three, is prone to free improvisation, reflective solo work and traditional hard bopping. Kermit Driscoll composes in a more dissonant aleatoric style while Don Mulvaney' music is closer to contemporary popular with an inspirational influence.

Sylvie Courvoisier & Mark Feldman
WHEN: June
23 – Saturday, 8 & 9:30 PM
TICKETS: $15/$10 students

Performing the music of John Zorn, Masada Book II (Book of Angels), from their CDs Masada Recital + Malphas plus some of their own compositions from their new CD OBLIVIA on Tzadik Records.

Mark Feldman and Sylvie Courvoisier are two of the most spectacular composer-performers working today. Virtuosos on their respective instruments and sensitive, telepathic improvisers, their quest for perfection results in breathtaking new music that seamlessly blends classical composition with the exciting edge of improvisation.

Working closely as a duo since the mid 1990s, their interplay is now at a creative peak in this, their latest and most beautiful recording. Featuring original material by the both of them, Oblivia redefines the format of violin-piano recitals. The future of classical music is here!

RHONDA ROBINSON QUARTET:
SUMMER LOVE
WHEN: June 24 – Sunday 5 & 7 PM
TICKETS: $10

Rhonda Robinson, vocals/flute; Charlie Sigler, guitar; Steve Synk, bass; Robert Shahid, drums

The Summer Solstice has ushered in warm breezes, lazy afternoons—the perfect backdrop for romance and intrigue. Summer Love requires the soundtrack of the Rhonda Robinson Quartet to complete the spell. A regional favorite with a "beautiful" voice, Rhonda will sing and play songs that call to her summer heart: jazz standards, Bossa Novas, “Summer Samba” and originals that are ideally suited for the intimate An die Musik listening room. The “Hot Winter Nights” of our Carnival show have melted into early summer warmth.
