*The Mobtown Players have joined forces with Equality Maryland for a special benefit performance of the Mob’s spring production of Bent. A portion of the proceeds from the Sunday, June 10, show will support equality and antidiscrimination efforts in Maryland. Tickets are $25 each, including the performance, free wine and talkback session with the cast and crew after the show. $15 from each ticket goes directly to Equality Maryland.
Martin Sherman’s dark drama Bent tells the story of a young man forced by fear and shame to hide his true nature. Set in Hitler’s Germany, the play follows Max from his Berlin apartment to the depths of the Dachau concentration camp as he does everything within his power to avoid accepting who he is. That is, until he no longer can.
The Mobtown Players are a non-profit theater company dedicated to making both classic work and contemporary plays accessible to a wide variety of audiences. To stay up to date on Season 15, visit www.mobtownplayers.com.
Equality Maryland lobbies to create equal protection under the law for LGBT Marylanders and their families and works to eliminate prejudice and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Learn more at www.equalitymaryland.org
