Kids (who can sit still) welcome!
Not a kids show, nor a cutesie bunch of kids playing. This is a group of talented, trained, young musicians (ages six to twenty-three) who learned and perform their music with their professional musician parents. Composer, multi-instrumentalist Anne Watts of Boister with daughter Posie on vocals; Bassist, ukulele player Don Peyton, with his son Nash on guitar; Chris Mason and daughter Elizabeth singing Chris-s Tinkler songs; Judith Geller of Charm City Klezmer and jazz guitar wiz husband Michael Raitzyk with their own Rebekah Rose and Jakob on violin.
Posie’s performance as part of Anne’s premiere of her new score for Intolerance last fall was amazing. Rebekah Rose is a very composed six year-old, and we look forward to her stage debut. Nash recently wrote an essay for b on his musical career. Jakob has all ready retired from one instrument (drums) only to pick up his violin...all by age 11!
From Broadway songs to traditional American fiddle tunes, original tales from naive visionaries The Tinklers and cabaret/art/rock gems from Boister.
A fun hour show for the young and not!
