Awarded the Al Smith Individual Artist Fellowship by the Kentucky Arts Council.

Opening; in Lexington, KY, at Mulberry & Lime, It's Not My Birthday, That's Not My Cake, a Chapbook Release Party featuring Paintings by Lori Larusso & poems by Carrie Green. 

Ms. Larusso's work was also part of the two-person exhibition, Trifle, at Space 15th in Seoul, South Korea, this past summer.

Quixotic Glow an Urbanite Feature

Local painter Kate MacKinnon uses oil paint and canvas to convey the gloss and glow of industrial painting techniques.

On her luscious and color-saturated canvasses, MacKinnon explains, "I have been subverting the use and application of newer technology, turpentine-free oil-painting mediums for almost ten years. My materials and process are my inspiration-but each body of work has started with an observation or experience of the world around me.
