Run Extended Due To Overwhelming Demand and Sold-Out Houses

TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHOWS AND ON SALE NOW!

It's so much fun to have a hit—and this summer, CSC has two! Both A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) are performing to capacity houses. That's encouraged them to extend the run of the shows through July 31, 2011.

Here's what people are saying:

"I can't stop recommending it to anyone who will listen." —Suzy Lane, Silver Spring, MD

"A matchless theatre experience in both troupe and venue"—Kathy Arnold, Falls Church, VA

"The performances were delightful." —Chris Siggens, Maryland Theatre Guide

"Midsummer was one of the finest things I've ever seen" —Robert Prince, Catonsville, MD

"Enchanting. A celebratory interpretation" —Patti Restivo, The Howard County Times

"My husband, my son and I laughed our heads off." —Karen Brandt, Olney, MD

"One of the funniest plays I've ever seen." - Betsy Stark, Ellicott City, MD

"Maryland’s preeminent stager of Shakespeare. " —Brent Englar, BroadwayWorld.com

KIDS UNDER 19 ADMITTED FREE WITH AN ADULT

Nonstop Laughing From Atop the Hill

CSC says, “We've enjoyed a summer of crowds coming up to the top of the hill (either by foot or using our shuttle service). What we've enjoyed even more is the sound that has come from the park this summer: the sound of hundreds of people laughing—and laughing a lot. There's something magical about a group of people coming together in the outdoors to enjoy, together, timeless stories and jokes (not to mention food and drink!).”

Remember, the gates open 90 minutes prior to show time for picnicking and "The Show Before The Show." You're encouraged to bring wine and a picnic basket or purchase food provided by Kloby's Smokehouse—Howard County's best place for BBQ.

TIME FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL COMPANY TO TAKE THE SPOTLIGHT

This year CSC started a new program for area teenagers called the “High School Acting Company.” High school students from Howard County, Baltimore County, Baltimore City and Prince George’s County have been rehearsing two plays for the last two months and will perform them on stage at the PFI Historic Park. They’ve also been helping out during CSC main stage productions this summer, so if you’ve been to one or both shows, you’ve probably seen them running around and being very helpful in their black CSC shirts!

Admission to the performances is absolutely free of charge! The shows will run about 80 – 90 minutes. There will be no intermission.

WHEN: Tuesday, July 19 (7 PM), The Taming of the Shrew
Wednesday, July 20 (7 PM),
As You Like It
Gates will be open at 6 PM for picnicking. And there will be carnival games for the kids!!

Unfortunately there will be no shuttle for these performances, so please come prepared to walk up the hill. As always, you are more than welcome to drop anyone unable to make the walk at the top of the hill and then drive back down to the Courthouse parking lot.
