New choral music, written in the last 15 years, will be  performed by outstanding vocalists from Peabody. The performance includes two of Runestad’s compositions, as well as works by Eric Whitacre, Tarik O'Regan, and Peabody composers Sean Doyle and Michael Rickelton.  The cornerstone piece, The Ecstasies Above (for choir, two solo vocal quartets, and string quartet) by composer Tarik O'Regan, is one of the finest pieces written for choir in the last 20 years.

This concert is a benefit to raise money for a scholarship fund that will help underprivileged youth to attend the Peabody Preparatory specifically through Jr. Bach, an outreach program in which Peabody composers work with students from St. Ignatius Loyola Academy helping them to compose their own pieces which are performed at the end of each semester.
