Benjamin Britten's introduction to the musical instruments of the orchestra comes to life through dance performed by BSA dancers and narration by BSA actors.  Boston Ballet director Barry Hughson, choreographer of BSA's beautiful Nutcracker, returns to the BSA to choreograph this exciting piece for the BSA dancers and our family audiences.  Concluding this 50-minute program, several BSA music ensembles will perform and tell you about the families of musical instruments—winds, brass, strings and percussion.  Family fun begins one-half hour before each performance with interactive activities, including a musical petting zoo and a family scavenger hunt.
