8 PM
$10, $5 mbrs, stus.

VHS is gloriously resurrected by hosts Joe Pickett (The Onion) and Nick Prueher (Late Show with David Letterman), with an action-packed lineup of videos: bad celebrity career moves, drunk guys mooning Hare Krishnas, and, at long last, cats riding motorcycles. Buddy Jeff Krulik screens and celebrates the 25th anniversary of his iconic slacker doc about tailgaters at a 1986 Judas Priest concert.

Friday, April 8, 8 PM
$15, $10 mbrs.

Jazz vocalist Felicia Carter and bassist Amy Shook first joined forces to compose music for a PBS doc, then made it official with the launch of ShookShak Productions. ShookShak’s recent "Nothing to Do", features the FAB Trio (Shook, Bob Butta and Frank Russo, who backed Carter on her CD’s Feather and Step Lightly), with Donato Soviero on guitar. The Washington Post says "Carter can cast a spell with her lyrics alone", while JazzTimes praises the FAB Trio’s " uncommon cohesiveness and passionate positive energy."

FUSION: HipClasstic!

TICKETS: $15, $10 mbrs & stus.

FUSION returns with another ‘unusual collaboration’ of hip hop & classical music and dance! Soul Cannon’s live instrumentation backs lead MC Eze’s thought-provoking lyrics with performances by Sharayna Christmas-Rose, classically trained dancer and director of Rayn Fall Dance Studio. Spanish Harlem-born hip hop dancer and choreographer, Rokafella, performs a jaw-dropping set with Baltimore’s own DJ Relax. Classical musicians deliver a unique “hipclasstic” performance! Catch Martha Cooper’s photos of B-Girlz opening in ARG prior to show.
